Everyone participating in Relay For Life knows the importance of the Survivor Lap at the annual Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) fundraiser.
Monies raised from Relay are utilized by CCS in various areas, but supporting research is very important as studies continues to find a cure.
The Survivor Lap is a great way to recognize individuals who have beaten cancer or are winning their personal on-going battle.
The opening ceremony begins around 6:45 p.m., so the 12 hours of walking the CASS track can begin at exactly 7 p.m., and annually begins with the survivors.
All cancer survivors are encouraged to register and participate.
